Calibrated to who the studio used to be

[FOUNDER COPY — the second launch piece, pillar one: the translation problem.

Outline held here so the piece can be written against it:

  • How the gap opens: a practice publishes its site at one moment in its development, then spends years getting better while the site stands still.
  • Why it is invisible from the inside: proximity, not negligence. The principal reads the site with the full context of the work behind it.
  • Where it costs: the pitch shortlist, the fee conversation, the referral that arrives cold. An observation the reader applies to themselves — never a diagnosis in the second person (Brand Bible ch. 6).
  • What noticing it looks like, concretely, before any engagement with anyone.
  • Close plainly; no pitch.]
